New NCERT books for geography class 8 to 12. Nothing can beat them for basic undertanding. and should never be neglected.

For advance reading- pick the book whose language appeals you the most. (This also happens at times that chapter on soil is better in book A and chapter on climate is better explained in book B.) the definition of 'better' totally depends on you. information in all books are more or less same.
